CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: Part 5

An important aspect to include in a
story of any kind but ESPECIALLY for
a Head World kind of Story is the Character
dynamics.

Create characters that have roles and personalities
that play off of each other. If you have a character
that is all about justice and rules, it would be an
even contrast if this character interacts with someone
that is wild and less law abiding for example.

Or even the opposite, a character that is always
light hearted and happy go lucky always
balances well with a stern serious character. This
combo in particular is used many times and is
the basic character dynamic trope. Seen in
Zoro X Luffy of One Piece, or the two male
leads of Trigun etc.

Their are other ways of doing this as well. In a
head world that I'm currently working on, much of
the stories follow characters that meet once
or twice but for the most part live separate lives.
Character dynamic can be displayed in my case
as to how the characters respond to the same situations,
differently. Other Common Character dynamics come
by way of Beauty X... Not So beautiful??, Smart Vs
Strong, Really Huge Vs Small etc. The Huge Vs Small
works pretty well for Fantasy tales. The guardian is
typically the Large one and the Small character is the
happy go lucky adventurous one. There are no hard
and fast rules to this formula. Feel free to experiment and
PUT SOME THOUGHT INTO IT :D

Until next time, don't stop drawing, creating, imagining :D (Big Grin)
